BVC graduates who complete Academic English 2 with a minimum grade of 75% or B, will be granted equivalency for English 30-1 with a 75% grade for the purpose of admission to a SAIT program.

SAIT graduates who complete SAIT's English Language Foundations (ELF) Level 5 (Communications 5 - COMN155 and Speech 5 - SPCH155) with a a minimum grade 75% or B will be recognized as satisfying English language proficiency requirements for the purposes of admission to a BVC program. SAIT ELF Level 5 students can also present a COMN155 score + a CLBA 8 test score in lieu of SPCH155 or present SPCH155 score and a CLBA 8 test score in lieu of COMN155. Exclusions: This agreement does not apply to demonstration of language proficiency for the BVC Pharmacy Technician Diploma program and the BVC Health Care Aide Certificate program.
Chinook College
Chinook College students who complete Accelerated Academic Preparation II, with a score of 75%, will be granted equivalency for English 30-1 with a 65% grade for the purposes of admission to a SAIT program.
Students com;ete Acceletrated Preparation II, with a minimum grade of 75%, will also be recognized as satisfying English Language Proficiency requirements for the purposes of admission to a SAIT program.
Royal Canadian Institute of International Studies
Upon completion of RCIIS' EAP program passing score of 75% and above in addition to a final exam score of 6.5 may be accepted in lieu of ENGL 30-1 at 65% (standard for most of our pathway partners who meet requirements).
Upon completion of RCIIS EAP pathway program with an overall passing score of 70-74% in addition to a final exam score of 6.5 may be accepted as meeting proficiency requirements for ENGL 20-1 at 65%. This allows them to study only in SAIT programs accepting ENGL 20-1 (e.g., professional cooking program).
